Hi đź‘‹

Welcome to Week #52 of the Wrestling Snacks Newsletter.

Wrestling season is in the air! Each week, my excitement grows as more programs release their season schedules. I wish I lived closer to more programs to attend college matches—UVU is the closest, and it’s 4 hours away. Be grateful if you have multiple programs nearby. Regardless of the division, being able to easily attend college wrestling matches is a great blessing since not everyone has that luxury. Support those programs and take your kids to watch. Also, don’t forget to support local high school programs—bringing your young wrestlers to these matches is invaluable.

This weekend, I’m hosting a pre-season clinic here in the Magic Valley for middle and high school wrestlers. I’m super excited to see familiar faces! Here’s a link to the clinic flyer and registration if you're a coach and want get some ideas. My site is built with Squarespace, and I use Donorbox.org for registration and payments.

Below we uncover how this hybrid style transitioned from carnival circuits to the mats of high school and collegiate wrestling.
